A Challenge for Year 9 + Year 10
Bite the Ballot is a grass roots youth engagement campaign inspiring young people to believe in the power of their voice and play a role in the decisions that directly affect them. We like to connect young people and politics in unconventional ways and this challenge is calling upon your students to redecorate Parliament, their artwork, their way!
We are offering you the chance to have your students art work on show in Parliament, so come on, help us transform Parliament using the vision and creative style of your students. We have divided the UK into 14 regions and are looking for three winners in each region, all entries are voted for by the public, using Facebook and twitter so if you have lots of friends that follow you, then what are you waiting for!
Here is a summary of the Challenge:
Submissions are open for anybody aged 14-24.
Enter any 2D canvas artwork around the theme of 'Britain in 2012' that can mean anything you wish so think about what inspires you, what great things are going on in Britain and in what way would you advertise it to others.
These can be pictures, paintings, pastels, photographs and collages. once you have created your work all you need to do is take a picture of your artwork and upload it to any Inspired Impressions portal or via the Bite the Ballot website. The original pictures must be in between A1 and A4 in size - Winning photographs will be enlarged for the exhibition.
Submissions close at 6pm on 13 June 2012 and then we go to the public vote, via Facebook and Twitter, for one week!
Results are announced on 3rd July 2012 and if successful you will be invited to view your artwork in Parliament this autumn.
